Who’s Got Your Back?
My mother is a full blooded Italian. She was one of nine sisters and three brothers. I have lots of aunts and uncles helping keep me on the straight and narrow. I have thirty six first cousins on my mother’s side! Quite a family... our family reunions were something to behold! My point of telling you this is to let you know that support is a huge dynamic in our large family. We always had each others back. What we couldn’t accomplish alone could be conquered and shared together. When grief came, friends had to wait their turn to gather and console, for the Cammarota’s had come to cry, uplift, bring food, call in the middle of the night. That’s the way I grew up. Someone always had my back.
Who’s got your back? Solomon said “Two are better than one….if one falls the other lifts him to good footing…but a three strand cord is not easily defeated.”
